It was established in the year of 2010 and became the first student body of IGNOU. It was initiated by the Regular students of IGNOU and supported by the respective authority of the university. The primary aim of the Society is to promote the social and community life in the campus. This students society will help to student having interaction with the community along with joyful learning. It is a platform for students who feel strongly about an issue to come together and work on that issue.

Holi celebration in IGNOU Campus
The Regular students of IGNOU celebrated the 2nd Holi Milan programme on 18th March 2011 in IGNOU Campus headquarter which was organized by IGNOU On-Campus Students Society. It was supported by respective authority of IGNOU. It was the second time in the history of IGNOU that Holi was celebrated on the huge level with all departments and students. Honourable Vice Chancellor wished to everyone.. Holi was celebrated with musical sound, dry colors and sweets. This Holi Milan programme gave the opportunity to everyone who is the part of IGNOU to unite with the students as well as students also. It was celebrated with the pump and show and peacefully. The every student who was part of this Holi Milan programme they enjoyed a lot on this symbol of brotherhood festival. Thanking you
